In the Bible and the Doctrine & Covenants of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints the winepress describes the Atonement of Jesus Christ. LDS Mormons belive that in Gethsemane Jesus took on the sins and sufferings of all men and bled from every pore. Isaiah 63:3 says "I have trodden the winepress alone...and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment."
