The armor of God is the power to withstand evil and overcome trials. Latter-day Saints believe that when they keep the commandments they will be strengthened by the Lord and have added protection against temptation. After a person is baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints they receive the gift of the Holy Ghost which can be with them always as they are worthy. When LDS Mormons have the Holy Ghost with them they can be warned and guided through tough situations, almost as if protected by armor.
