There are several times in the scriptures where angels visit people. In the LDS Book of Mormon, angels appear to some of His missionaries in a pillar of fire. Latter Day Saint Mormons know that when angels appear to the servants of God in a pillar of fire, the fire does not burn the ones they are visiting. " And when they saw that they were encircled about with a pillar of fire, and that it burned them not, their hearts did take courage. (Helaman 5:24)
