In the Bible we read that the Pharisees questioned why the Savior conversed with sinners and publicans - who they detested. As Latter-day Saint Mormons read in the scriptures, "But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick." (Matthew 9:12)
